Selection Process

The selection process for the Senior Scale Stenographer position will comprise several stages. Initially, candidates will undergo a Word Processing/Transcription Test, which includes dictation at a speed of 100 words per minute in English shorthand. After that, candidates must transcribe the dictation on a computer at a speed of 20 words per minute. A maximum of 3% mistakes is permitted in this test, and merit will be based on performance.

Additionally, candidates will take a Spread Sheets Test, which is qualifying in nature, requiring a minimum score of 40% to pass.
